GW10 - Scouting FPL

Ones to Watch

Kyle Walker – with just five clean sheets in the last two Gameweeks, The Scout has been casting his eye over attacking threat from the back as an alternative to defensive points. Walker has come to the fore recently, with a stunning goal in the North London derby win, an assist and 3 bonus points to his name – all in the space of three Gameweeks. A home clash with Queens Park Rangers should afford the right-back opportunity to continue his pacey contribution down the flank and lend weight to the vibrant Tottenham attack.

Anthony Pilkington – having firmly established his place in the Norwich City starting lineup, the left winger has been the Canaries’ main goal threat to date, with 3 goals making him top scorer for Paul Lambert’s side. Pilkington has been pivotal to the recent form that has seen Norwich win three times and pick up a draw in their last five matches. He will be relishing the visit of bottom of the table Blackburn Rovers to Carrow Road this weekend and is set to be a key figure.

Jonathan Walters - the top-scoring Fantasy player in the Stoke City ranks, Walters is proving a real prospect this season. Classified as a midfielder but playing up front for the Potters, he’s been racking up the points at home, in particular. Newcastle United roll up to the Britannia with an injury doubt hanging over their influential ball-winner Cheik Tiote. Stoke could wrestle control in midfield in his absence and Walters may well be the man to end the visitors’ undefeated start to the season.

Nicklas Bendtner – a loan move to Sunderland has clearly reinvigorated the big Dane. Given the chance of regular starts under Steve Bruce, Bendtner has delivered and, after five appearances for the Black Cats, is averaging over 6 points per match. Never lacking in self-belief, Bendtner will go into the home match against Aston Villa with plenty confidence.

Danny Graham – after a frustrating start to his debut top-flight season, the Swansea City striker has clearly found his feet. One of the form strikers in the league right now, Graham has hit the net in each of his last three fixtures and plays host to an out-of-sorts Bolton Wanderers this weekend. Formidable at the Liberty Stadium, the smart money is on a home win with Graham leading the charge for the Swans.

Emmanuel Adebayor – having plumped for Rafael Van der Vaart in last week’s “Ones to Watch”, The Scout turns the spotlight on Tottenham’s other in-form attacker this time around. With Harry Redknapp’s side in a real rich vein of form, Queens Park Rangers will be wary having lost their previous away match 6-0 at Fulham. The Scout fancies Adebayor to get amongst the goals and help maintain the Tottenham’s charge up the table.
